I've always been fascinated by the relationship between people and the places they inhabit. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology because I was interested in understanding how people experience the world around them and what helps them thrive. That curiosity has followed me throughout my career and continues to shape the way I approach landscape design today.

 

Long before I became an ecological landscape designer, I worked with people recovering from traumatic brain injuries. That experience taught me something I carry into every project: our surroundings matter. A thoughtfully designed environment can support healing, encourage connection, and improve the way we experience everyday life.

That realization eventually led me to landscape architecture.

 

I earned my Master's in Landscape Architecture from Temple University, where I focused on ecological restoration, native plant communities, and designing landscapes that work with natural systems instead of against them. My education combined science and design—from hydrology and landscape engineering to woodland ecology and restoration—giving me the tools to create gardens that are as functional as they are beautiful.

 

Over the past several years, I've worked with homeowners throughout South Jersey to create landscapes that reflect the way they want to live while supporting the ecology that makes this region unique. Whether I'm designing a rain garden, reimagining a foundation planting, or creating habitat for pollinators, my goal is always the same: to create places people genuinely love spending time in.

You won't find judgment here. If you've had the same lawn and foundation shrubs for decades, that's okay. My job isn't to tell you what you've done wrong. It's to help you imagine what your landscape could become while respecting what already makes it feel like home.

 

When I'm not designing, you'll usually find me experimenting in my own garden. Some ideas flourish, others become valuable lessons, but that's part of the joy. I believe the best gardeners—and the best designers—never stop learning.
